We are in one of the most ancient hamlets in the Roero region,
just under the magnificent castle of Monticello.
From here comes our name, Rocche (Fortifications) just because Monticello is a perched village, with the ancient name Montezelo to whom we wanted to give a touch of modernity and here is Montexelo.
Our four beautiful rooms will be your reference point for the exploration of the local area.
You can relax your body and mind in our Wellbeing Room or enjoy a lovely view over the castle from our panoramic terrace.
Children are welcome! For us there is an outdoor play area for to play safely:
in fact, the courtyard is closed by an automatic gate.
The surrounding area is a maze of rolling hills called “Rocche del Roero”. Extraordinarily shaped by nature, the “Rocche” are made up of deep and picturesque canyons, which some million years ago were below the sea level.
Remains of marine fossils like fishes, plants and seashells can still be found in the area: small gifts for the hikers enjoying the numerous trails.
The local cuisine and the world famous wines of the Langhe and Roero region will make a pleasant distraction from your hikes.
